The KT Group has invested aggressively in strategic areas of prime residential and industrial areas in Yangon and throughout the country. Within Yangon, the KT Group has acquired a large land bank in the downtown area on Bayint Naung Road. This land currently housing a Mill as well as warehouses and port facilities, is intended for use as a Logistics Park in the coming years. The Logistics Park will not only provide warehousing and storage facilities but will also be capable of handing the various types of cargo traffic being transported down the Yangon River from up country.


In addition, the KT Group has acquired land on Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, opposite Inya Lake. The site is located 6 kilometres from Shwedagon Pagoda and a 15 minute drive from Mingalardon International Airport. Currently vacant, the KT Group has engaged the services of Jones Lang LaSalle to provide a feasibility study to determine the best use for the site. JLL has indicated that a hotel, serviced apartments, retail capabilities as well as condominiums would be most suitable given the Yangon market’s current characteristics as well as due to factors such as site location, positioning and proposed facilities.


The KT Group has also acquired prime properties in the tourist areas of Bagan, Inle Lake and Ngapali.
